What is Methoprotryne

Methoprotryne may be susceptible to slow hydrolysis in soil. Volatilization from near-surface soil is not expected to be an important removal mechanism. It is unknown whether methoprotryne will biodegrade in soil.
Methoprotryne is an herbicide that is not used in theUSA, but is used inEurope on various crops. If methoprotryne is released to soil, it will be expected to exhibit moderate mobility based upon a Koc estimated using water solubility and, therefore, it may leach to groundwater.
